I live in Alabama. My parents retired and move here to be near me. I have a lot of love and respect for them. As they grow older, I do what I can to help them and keep them smiling. This is why at this time I will not relocate. This does not mean I will never relocate.

I dislike liars, cheats, continued profanity, rude, controlling people. How you treat me from the beginning, I expect to get the same treatment throughout the entire relationship. I believe that flirting with others when you are in a committed relationship is a big NO. I am asking that you give the relationship respect and me when we are together and apart. I have to be able to fully trust you in order to give my heart to you.

Respect me enough to be honest. with me. If you feel that you need to go outside of the relationship and see other people, tell me and lets end the relationship with respect. Yes I have been hurt a number of time and this is why I will take my time in developing a relationship.

I'm the type of person that can keep a conversation going but doesn't like to babble on about irrelevant things. Just to get some of the negative things out of the way, I can't stand to watch sports and I loathe almost all sitcoms (Frasier being one exception). I work on a lot of art projects. Sometimes I even get paid for them. I enjoy listening to a variety of music while I work from the beatles to wu-tang. i also try to play music but that's a skill best saved for when I'm not trying to impress. I also read when i feel like it and i enjoy movies. probably above all other forms of entertainment. so don't get me on that subject unless you're prepared for a lengthy discussion.
I do go out but you won't find me at clubs or bars unless the food is really good. Sometimes I find it easy to get along in social situations and sometimes I'm terribly awkward. I enjoy driving around late at night and I love to laugh. I laugh at a lot of things that other people don't find funny.

I like to do all sorts of thing but mostly i am a simple man i like to sit and watch movies at home and spend time with the people i love. I like to take walks at the park with my dog. Im someone who loves the ocean ive been scuba diving since I was 14 and am a certified rescue diver. I enjoy playing X-Box in my free time when I dont have anything else to do. I have benefited from witnessing some extraordinary relationships in my life. People who were crazy about each other and entirely devoted and truly happy until the end. I know it exists in real life because I've seen it in my own family. Ultimately, that's what I want- an equal partner, a best friend, someone who will be as committed to me as I am to them, and someone I'm always excited to be with. I'm not on any sort of time schedule, I won't rush or settle, but that's where I want to end up. I live a great and very happy life but do look forward to sharing it with the right woman one day.

What I am may seem to have some contradictions at first but... I am a genuinely nice guy and a gentleman. I open doors for women and go to great lengths to make sure that who I am dating knows they are special to me. I also have a little bit of a wild streak, though few people would guess it. I believe open, honest communication is very important but I do have filters and know when to use them and how. I am practical and a realist, but I'm also a romantic and an optimist. The two elements of a relationship that mean the most to me are spending quality time together (just having time to talk, share time and experiences, and be around each other one-on-one but not to the point that it is clingy or smothering) and physical touch, on all levels. I don't mean a lot of pda, but rather little things like holding hands going down the road or sleeping up against me. I have no idea why it is so important but I know it is important. So, if you don't like touch, then we're not a good match. I live an active life both as an active entrepreneur and as an active volunteer with several groups, and out of necessity I am a planner. However, if things don't go according to plan, I usually just laugh it off and move on, I don't get unnecessarily frustrated. I also sometimes thrive on being spontaneous- just getting a last minute hotel somewhere and driving there to go out or to go to some event or exhibit. Last year I flew to Puerto Rico for a week as a very last minute decision with little planning and lots of fun. I am also a very dependable person. I may run late sometimes, but if I tell you I'll be somewhere or call or whatever, I will do my very best to be true to my word. That is also very important to me in anyone I am in a relationship with. I also love to laugh and do it all the time. I am extremely driven and motivated, accomplishing many things earlier than my peers, while at the same time being very laid back and not easily frustrated or upset. I love being surrounded by friends but also have no problem going somewhere where I know no one.

I am 18 and kinda shy, and a little bit socially awkward. I love anime even though i haven't seen a lot of it and boarder line poser. One of my hobbies and the newest are BJD's and for those of you who dont know what they are they're ball jointed doll. very expensive and pretty and from parts of Asia. I miss marching for JHS band but i miss concert band most off all. I am a number crunching computer professional minus the pocket protector...okay there might be a small pack of pencils...don't tell TSA or they might take those too...I am very familiar with travel...hence the no sharp objects...I love the travel part of my job but I swear the overhead space on planes are getting smaller...it couldnt possibly be all the junk I carry ; ) ...if you are someone who thinks smart girls can be fun give me a buzz!!

Let's see, my first attempt at this they said was too short, so I will try again. It's kinda hard to write about yourself. I'm originally from western New York. I love everything about it (except the snow), unfortunately, there aren't a lot of jobs up there so that has brought me to Alabama. I first made a stop on a little island in the middle of the pacific ocean called Johnston Atoll for 4 years working in recreation. Now, I work at a plant that destroys chemical weapons, that is another story all in itself. I am now getting ready to move back to western NY to work at a nuclear plant.

I really like to have fun with whatever I'm going. I've traveled to all sorts of places but am always willing to go to more and learn more about other places. I'm kinda adventurous with things also. One of my dreams is to go skydiving.

Sports have always been a big part of my life. I love to watch them. I used to play a lot, but kinda got away from it.

I am blessed w/ energy and do not take it for granted. I exercise almost daily. (NOT your average "sissy") I love tennis, biking, and walking/hiking. I know that religion and politics can be quite divisive, but I think I should divulge my beliefs on the subject. My beliefs are important to me, but I don't take things too seriously. Religiously I am an atheist. Politically I am a libertarian socialist or radical left-libertarian anarchist. To break that down even further, I consider myself a mutualist anarchist. Don't worry. Most people probably haven't heard these terms before, and those who have probably think I am a little crazy. My beliefs are sometimes shocking to people. The word â??anarchismâ?? itself holds a strong negative connotation for many people who probably donâ??t know much about it. Many people erroneously associate anarchism with this picture of a wield-eyed, destructive bomb-thrower. However, I can reassure you that doesn't describe who I am at all. My religious and political beliefs are a large part of who I am, but I expect and welcome strong disagreements. I love constructive criticism. Needless to say, a relationship with me requires intellectual curiosity, skepticism, and an open mind.

I think it was important to be upfront about my unorthodox views since they can be a problem for some people. All you really need to know is that if you are a Democrat or libertarian I will likely get along with you politically for the most part. If your politics can handle someone who is extremely leftist and libertarian, then you will probably get along with me. I accept people poking fun at my beliefs as long as it doesn't venture into mean, angry, and hateful territory. I have been called an idealist, and I am fine with that. I believe that you need to be one in order to strive towards peace in this world. Although I hold radical beliefs, I am not the violent extremist that some may erroneously associate with anarchism. I enjoy endulging the kid in me whenever possible so, although I love to have dinner at a nice restraunt, I am more than at home playing a terrible game of Miniature Golf or Pool (Which I may very well hold the record for being the worst player in history).
As far as what I am looking for....well....for starters, I am NOT looking for a hookup. These things come in time and I would much rather pursue friendships first.
